Thank you gentlemen of the Cor Meibion Llanelli – The Llanelli Welsh Male Choir. You sounded magnificent and what a treat the evening turned out to be. Bryony Purdue and Daniel Bovey added their beautiful talents to a perfect performance. I was sadly not able to record all of the event but I hope you enjoy the videos taken. Quote from Valley and Salisbury News Magazines
’Scott May’s team of Dare Devil Stunt Men was a real crowd pleaser at Salisbury’s Livestock Market. Old and young alike were ‘wowed’ by their thrilling and exhilarating antics. Some of their rides and fun foolhardiness brought gasps of delight from the many onlookers. From clowning madness to brave crazy driving; from being shot out of a Mega-Cannon to rampaging in a Monster-Truck which crushed everything in its path, these skillful guys really knew how to excite. Our editor’s dark blue Mazda was one of the cars totally destroyed by that Monster Mover – Perhaps it’s time to tell him where it is and why his staff so kindly let the Dare Devils have it – Also he should be delighted he wasn’t in it at the time. Who knows what can happen during a long hard snooze in the afternoon. Great Show and an ‘Ace Must See Event’ when it comes around again.’

What a terrific place. I celebrated my wife’s birthday by having lunch at The Pythouse Kitchen Garden, Shop & Café, and I can honestly say it was absolutely perfect. Every bit of the meal tasted fresh and exciting with all the dishes being created so carefully and lovingly. I could not fault any part of the lunch or service. The beauty about being at Pythouse is that it is so relaxing, warm and comfortable while everybody working there is so calm, polite, fun, and welcoming. Simply nothing is too much trouble to make your visit an absolute delight. 10 out 0f 10 on all counts! With a clever, simple but yummy menu, which I am told, changes most days.
I really cannot wait to try their delicious teas and wonderful home-made cakes!
Oh by the way, we took along our own Champagne – A Huge Saving! So please give the Pythouse Café a try – You will not regret it.
TORAN! TORAN! TORAN!
No, not a Japanese war-cry, but a call to visit one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Zip down the dreaded A303 and you will find, just outside of Codford, on the Warminster road, an enormous elephant sticking out in front of you, next to an intriguing looking establishment which was formerly a Little Chef. Believe me the food now served there is of the most amazing quality and there is certainly no hint of the unpleasant stuff once spewed out by the former Cafe, clearly put out of business, by the superb one still operating close by.
As you enter, the greeting is warm and friendly and the aromas coming from the kitchen are positively delightful and mouth-watering. We arrived early to avoid the crowds and the service was attentive, relaxed and excellent. What is so different about Toran is the subtle way they use the best spices and freshest herbs and ingredients to create such a diverse menu. They also have the intelligence to cater for those wanting to choose a low fat or vegetarian meal. The dishes can be hot and fiery, smooth and sweet, traditional, or new and original, but whichever you select I can assure you the taste will be completely inspirational, clever, as well as absolutely delicious. On leaving I could see there were many hungry fans waiting to collect their sumptuous Take-Aways.
This is definitely An ACE Must Try Eatery! The best Indian meal I have eaten in years!
